Judge 4510 Mag 3" Duo Tone

Ammo Federal Premium .410 2 1/2 in 000 Buck 1200 FPS

Distance 10 Feet, 15 Feet, 20 Feet, 25 Feet

After the last review I was asked to put some pictures up and detail the ammo and distance.

The accuracy suffers quite a bit the further out but is to be expected from a short barrel .410 load. All is still quite deadly.

Pros:
Great nightstand/home defense gun, great range fun gun. Very versatile with several different shotgun loads and .45 LC. Recoil is easily managed. Timing is excellent, trigger in S/A is amazingly crisp.

Cons:
Heavy gun and not practical for the average person to carry. D/A trigger is not consistent. Big spread for shotgun loads at more than 20 feet.

Overall Opinion  Go get er!

Yeup, agreed. I'd hate to be the BG who breaks in to the house of a judge owner

Well, let me see, in the December 2009 issue of Guns & Ammo, the Judge gets a rather favorable review by C. Boddington, with the excellence comments being limited to the up close self defense range; also high marks as an anti-snake gun.

Of course, the PT738 and PT709 also get favorable reviews in another section of the same issue.

Taurus up the PR and marketing $?  I've never seen 3 separate handgun models from the same manufacturer get so much ink in a single issue of a magazine of the G&A prominence.

I've gone back and forth, from "must have one now", to "really don't need one", to "yeah, will probably end up with one" Cheesy

There's just something about it that makes you want it
