It took me a while but i went ahead and ordered a taurus 1911 in 38 super.

I recently sent in A pt58 380 for repair, shot about 12 in low at 10 yards.

i use to post 2 targets and shoot at the top one to hit the bottom one.

myself and my friends at the range named it shooting at peter to hit paul. Cheesy

recently returned it for repair to taurus, repair order said adjusted front sight and rear sight.

their was no change in accuracy and the front sight is not adjustable it is part of the frame.

the rear sight is drift adjustable only and hieght of sight was not changed, so i spent 40.00 on shipping for nothing to be done.

I have taken the measures to correct it myself rather than waste money and time on tauruse's repair facility.

I have read the stories about their poor quality repair, but had to give it a try myself.

I like the pt58 platform and do not want to give it up.

I hemed and hawed for 4 weeks about buying this taurus or going with another brand, I went ahead with the taurus figuring I have a 50/50 chance with warranty repair from what i have read.

this forum actualy put me in the direction of the taurus 1911 from reading the reviews.
