As I dont have loads of time to get out to a big outdoor range most of my shooting at the moment is at the local indoor range. Lucky for me is 5 mins away from my house  Cheesy. Anyway a few months ago I put in a variation for a .45 acp rifle. Basically so I didnt have to reload a new calibre as I already have a .45 taurus. Well today after speaking to an RFD friend of mine I orderd a Enfield MK4 converted to .45 acp. A nice little bolt action rifle converted to take 1911 magazines. Cant wait for it to get back from proof so I can test it out. I will take some pictures and do a range report. Any suggestions on what type of optics to fit to it?

Mark,
It from a friend of mine who is an RFD. I did look at the Armalon ones but they wanted £950 to £1150 depending on model and I thought that was way too much.

Nice one Chris, get some pics soon!

Out of curiosity, does your friend manufacture them?  I as as I also have a variation for a .45ACP bolt action rifle.

I am thinking of a De Lisle

but it is a bit pricey.

Corrado,
Yes my friend is an RFD with manufacture. He makes the .45 from a standard enfield .303. Basically its a full magwell change, new barrel, iorn sites made to look like the standard ones on a enfield. I did think of going down the De Lisle route myself. However he already have all the enfield bits made. I know another RFD Keef from the shoot forum once made some De Lisle style rilfes and fully moderated browning buckmarks. When I pick my new rifle up once its back from proof I will ask if he does De Lisle or anything similar. I know he hasnt got a website yet as he is a one man RFD and his day job takes up most of his time.
