Hey everyone...I'm here in the sunny South and looking for a home in a FRIENDLY forum.  From what little lurking I've done, this seems like a happy family here.

As for me, I'm retired, been shooting all my life and have had concealed carry permits for decades in whatever state I lived in.  I am NRA member, Vietnam Vet, and fear our Country is beginning to rotate around the toilet bowl due to the current adminsitration.  I'm a senior citizen, I carry a gun, and I vote!

Over the many years, I've owned PT92's, 85's and was always happy with them.  I've never been a big fan of plastic guns.  I did try a PT609TI one time for a day.  Not a good day & gun must have been yellow on the inside, cause it was a lemon.

Now, for the past year, I have read all about the 709 Slim and I again got to thinking about plastic.  Seems here, you either get a good one or one that needs to go back.  No clear result to me.  Anyway, I am taking the leap and I ordered mine today for delivery tomorrow.  All I could find was a SS model and I will give a range report tomorrow after I pick it up.
