Wes, you are picking on the wrong guy...Skiffy is a really big guy, and we called the 67 Barracuda, Cuda for short.  They were kinda u-gly!

I drove a maroon 1967 Barracuda in high school and called it my Cuda. Didn't realize I was breaking some kind of rule.

From '67-'69 the official name of the car was Barracuda.
From '70-'74 the official. Name of the car was Cuda.

Just like from '68-'71 the official name was Torino.
But from '72-'76 they were called Gran Torino's.
Alot of people didn't know that either... Smiley

You'd be amazed at how many times people call my car a Gran Torino...

So your '67 was a fast back... nice.
I think the notch backs are pretty good looking in that body style.

Is it at least a Powerwheels pink Barbie car? Cheesy

Actually the Hemi Barracuda could be purchased by anyone. They weren't technically factory cars. they were, along with about 50 Dodge darts, sent to Campbell-Hurst Corp. for race prepping to the tune of about 600 HP.

I don't see that as being possible considering early A-body cars, ie: Dart, Barracuda, could not be fitted with a 426 Hemi from the assembly line, therefore are NOT considered a "factory car".
A-bodied cars had to have 426 Hemi's hand installed. Just one more reason to keep the ever so wonderful Mr. Norm in business. Smiley

Is that not what I said???? They were sent to Hurst to be fitted. The driver's side shock tower had to be moved along with the master cylinder, and I'm not sure what else. They were sold through the dealer, though. Gotta love Mr Norm, Baldwin and all the great dealers of yesteryear.

Sorry, you did say they weren't factory...
But anyways my argument still stands.
1st gen A-bodied Barracudas were not offered with a 426 Hemi from a list of standard option engines available. Did some exist? Sure.

God, I wish I could have ordered a '64 Thunderbolt with a 427 SOHC "Cammer"... Devil

Or a '70 Torino Cobra with a BOSS 429 "Semi-Hemi" AND the Drag Pac... Devil

Oh well, before my time, AND those combos never existed... nice to dream though. Smiley

That being said, I liken my PT 111 Mil Pro to a 69 Torino GT I once had. 351 Windsor, 290 horse. Not overly powerful, but respectable, sleek and a head turner in Indian Cinnamon Fire  Red, with white side stripe and factory cut out under the scoop. Wish I had it back!. (Yah, I'm a MOPAR and Ford guy! Smiley

Nice! I wish you still had it too... Sad
My next project I'm still trying to work out might be a '69 Torino formal roof(notch back) with a Windsor motor. We'll see...? Smiley

My Raging Bull .44 mag = mid 60's Buick Riviera with 425 engine. BIG BIG BIG, heavy and built like an anvil, with ungodly power.

My 689 .357 mag = 1970 Z28 Camaro. Balanced, nimble, power when ya need it  (magnum round)or laid back cruiser, whatever you feel like (.38 special round).
