I just recieved my JIT slide for my 24/7 and, so far, love it! It's better than my BLACKHAWK holster for the M&P (sticks out way too far). Rides high, conceals well, quality leather. My question is; it is still difficult to withdrawl my weapon from the holster. What can I do to break in this holster quickly? I don't wanna hurt the leather but feel it's too tight to produce my pistol in a defense situation. I plan to wear it around the house for a few days and have been working the leather around with my hands. Any suggestions?? THANKS!!

Also, you can't beat this holster for the money. About 35 bucks delivered! If your on the fence about this, order it now!!

There are a lot of different ways to break one in.  What you are doing now will do it.  To break in a leather holster, I usually make sure the gun is unloaded, then while watching something on the tube, repeatedly insert the pistol and withdraw it.  Don't over do it though, some tightness is needed for retention.

Thanks Smokewagon. I agree, I don't want it to get "sloppy" and have the gun loose or falling out when I carry. I feel like its too tight right now for my liking. I'll keep working on it. After seeing the quality of this Don hume holster, I'm gonna order one for the 85 on Mon.
