While enjoying a drink with my friend at a bar, we noticed an attractive woman sitting alone. After an hour of gathering his courage, my friend walked up to her and asked, "Would you mind if I chatted with you for awhile?"

"No! I will not accompany you to your place tonight!" she replied rather loudly.

With everyone staring at him, my friend sheepishly returned to his seat, both puzzled, and humiliated.

Roughly a half-hour later, that same woman strolled over to our table. "Please forgive me for that," she said. "I'm a psychologist studying people's reactions to embarrassing situations.

My friend responded by yelling, "What do you mean, two hundred dollars!"

P.S. I think everyone who employs psychology to manipulate the behavior of others to dishonestly achieve their own objective deserves to have the tables turned abruptly on them... Ha! Ha! Ha! You reaped what you sowed, lady.
