Lots of blow-by!

"Semper paratus, numquam indigens." - "Always prepared, never needed."
“We have not inherited the earth from our fathers, we are borrowing it from our children.” Sound familiar? Sounds like our debt crisis.
Something really cool -- at the end of the video of a bullet being fired is a thumbnail to click on to get to bullet impact videos.
Interesting to see what happens when bullets hit various targets -- steel, glass, and gelatin.
In the gelatin shots, you can see hollow points open up, with resulting increases in energy transfer and temporary wound channels.
Those impact shots have a strange kind of beauty - like playing with a kaliedoscope or watching large waves breaking.

I get mesmerized watching these!

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.' Thomas Jefferson
Wild....
Reminds me of the show on Discovery called "Time Warp." Not sure how many of you are fammiliar with it, but their thing was to shoot seemingly ordinary (and some not so ordinary) events with extremely high-speed cameras to show you exactly what happens. They captured all kinds of things, and it was always pretty captivating for me. I definitely agree that there is something about super slow-mo that just amazes me. Thanks for sharing.
Q: Why do you carry a gun?
A: It’s much lighter than carrying a police officer

I'm with PSC01, there's just something about slow motion that is facinating!

Awesomely cool! I agree, slo-mo has come along way.
