If you would not sit on your couch and disassemble a running chainsaw, it stands to reason that you should not sit on your couch and try to quickly disassemble a loaded weapon.

This is true, although it is harder to end up in a $250,000 home if your stupid, unless of coarse you're robbing it!

That is pretty stupid. I recently purchased my first handgun. Also a 40 S&W. I didnt just say hey I wanna buy a gun, I think I will go get one right now. I researched for weeks prior to my decision to buy one. I shot friends guns, watched reviews of the actual model I was going to purchase, and made sure I knew what I was getting before I did it. I knew how to handle a gun, take it apart, clean it, put it back together before I even laid hands on the gun. Guns are not toys. Quite a few people my age think they are big toys because of video games and what not. They dont understand its not a game and can seriously injure and kill if not handled properly. It's retarded what happened to those guys. And the kids, jeez... I have five kids in my house and I damn sure will never handle a loaded weapon around any of them. Sad story......
