Screwed up last week watching it. Missed Castle.

Just watched the second episode and I'm flummoxed. $10,000.00 for a custom-built SAA?
Seems like they built the preacher a Ruger Vaquero (the coil spring instead of leaf spring), then did some custom tuning and engraving.
Why wouldn't an off-the-shelf Vaquero have worked just as well if finely tuned for probably a lot less money?

I watched this show twice now. I like the parts where they are making guns from blockes of metal. That is the only thing i like about it.

Son did good job with engraving, the father is a funny guy...probably only gave him a fifty cent raise.

not that we should expect 'reality' from a reality show - but it all seems too staged.

I pretty much agree with you sparks. After watching the first two episodes I'm not sure I will watch many more. I did enjoy seeing and 1873 Colt made from scratch at least what they showed. Now with that said what I don't like. There is something about the family that seems a bit unreal. Nothing I can put my finger on just something about them rubs me wrong.

Owning a gun doesn’t make you any more an armed citizen than owning a guitar
    makes you a musician.
