I normally carry my 617 SST2 7 round either OWB or shoulder holster.
The 9mm thread has been real popular so I thought I'd give us wheelgunners equal time.
I carry a .357 magnum most of the time. Either a S&W 2.5 66 or a Taurus 605SS. When times require pocket carry it's a 38 spl. S&W 442. I love revolvers!!

The Government is not the cure, it is the disease!
I've carried a 605 on occasion, not my dedicated carry though. It's the first gun I bought that I ever carried. I don't carry it much though. I usually carry my LCP. LCP's just too easy to conceal no matter what I'm wearing, but I just got a CW9 not long ago for carry. I'm still looking for good holsters for the CW9, and 605. I can't seem to find a good fit at my LGS, and I don't want to order something I've never seen in person.

I bought a .357 snubby last June, and carry it on occasion. I started out on revolvers and still like them. Actually, I may be becoming reaquainted with them. I had a judge friend, tell me that what I had was a bad idea because of overpenetration. I asked him what he carried as a state trooper, and case was closed. Depends on what you put in it.

Stock up on ammo. We'll have to save ourselves from those who want to save the world.

My 357 carry piece when I wish to keep it covered is a Colt Lawman Mark III, 2". It is big, heavy and that makes it easy to handle with full house loads and it won't suffer forcing cone problems like a K frame S&W. I also use a Detective Special and I have a lovely little S&W Model 37, not to mention my Rossi 68 and my Taurus 85. Most of my 357 revolvers are open carry.
I carry a Taurus model 415 in .41 Mag which is just a "Super Sized" .357 mag. does that count?
Why aren't there any cheap hobbies?
Part of the problem with the K frame, and I've had a forcing cone split before, is the flat on the bottom of the forcing cone....weak. It gets errosion, too, but no .357 is immune to that if you shoot a lot of 125s or 110s in it. I carry a 140 grain Speer JHP in my Taurus 66 3". I carry it either IWB or OWB. Don't carry it often and only in the winter when I can wear a good cover garment. I'll carry my M85UL in a pocket as back up and spare ammo is .38+P in speed strips that will feed either gun. Makes for a dandy combo IMHO.
The Taurus 66 is more beefy than my 19 was in the forcing cone area of the frame, room for a ROUND forcing cone which makes me happy.![]()

Like most, I only carry when I can cover well, or when out camping, my GP100 4" is a tad big for day to day CC,(I would like to find a nice leather shoulder holster) but when I do carry, it's loaded with 158 gr hp mag load,
in my pancake holster...

I wanted a Ruger SP101 until I hefted it and decided maybe not. A feeble 85-year-old is better off with a S&W Airweight snubbie 38spl, I keep saying, and saying, and saying.![]()
