    Store more guns.

Has anyone seen/used one of these? I have the pistol pockets on the door of my safe but it only holds 8 pistol/revolvers. They are now all occupied and I hate to just leave the new handguns laying in the safe.

I was curious it this would harm the rifling in the barrel or would have any other adverse effects on a handgun??? It looks like it could be a solution to small issue for me.

    Re: Store more guns.

I have a couple of those. They work very well. I don't think they will damage your gun because they are covered with a plastic material, so as long as that covering is in tact there is no metal to metal contact. The only 'problem' I have ever had is sometimes when withdraw the gun from it, it will stick in the barrel (might be caused by me by not pulling it straight out) and pull off the shelf. I am thinking about bending the wire a bit that goes over the shelf to help prevent this.

I also have thought about making more using steel rod, bending it and then covering it completely in a product like Plasti-Dip or some such product to protect the barrel.

Yes, have thought about that...also comes in colors!!! Somewhat more expensive than plasti-dip, but would probably more durable.

Yes , or some good heavy brass grounding wire from Lowes , Home Depot and Plastic Dip should be much cheaper . It'll give you a custom size of your own at any rate and the color of your choice .

    Re: Store more guns.

Good ideas. Looks like a new weekend project coming up soon.

I guess I need to make a jig from some lag bolts or screws and a 2X6. what size brass rod would you recommend, 1/4 in or larger? Guns range from 22lr to 45LC. Also wondering if brass is soft enough to bend without heat?

How timely! I've got similar problems that need solving.
