I wouldn't know how to find one manufactured in '64.

Nope sure don't. I don't think they made guns back then. Bow and arrows maybe.

Actually, decades ago, when the Star Super B's were being imported, Century was shipping them by year of manufacture. You got the gun, a factory test target with the date on it, all in a red cardboard factory Star box. I think that the price was $150.00. A lot back then for a Milsurp pistol. It is NRA Very Good. 9x19 caliber. I also picked up a BM around that time, but you didn't have a choice of date.

I had my Dad's S&W 2" S&W 38, made in 1950- til I gave it to my daughter when she got her CC permit. My wife has the S&W 32 Long her Dad bought just before she was born, 1956, and a Rossi 32 long he bought right after. They're both little guys, 3" barrels I think. Fun to shoot!

Never dated them. Got some before and after the 60s but don't know if any are from the 60s.

WWll guns went mostly to the war effort, so my birth year (1945) would probably a war issue product.

My mistake, I forgot all about my Dad's 9mm Herstal Belgique that he brought back from Germany when he was in the US Army. I don't know much about the rarity of this particular one with Nazi Swastika's on the frame and slide, but it's reasonable to believe it was made between 1940 and 1949. If it is a '49, that would be my birthday!

Yes, my Colt 1911 was purchased by my dad a month before I was born in 1968. He gave it to me a couple of years ago, probably has less than 500 rounds thru it. Name: 20140805_173851.jpg
