The closest I have is a Marlin 57M made around 1964, I'm 1963. The next closest is a Marlin 39A made in 1958.

I do have a S&W top break revolver in .38 S&W made in 1883, which is still younger than some of the, "Old Farts" here.

We heard different, and that the 1853 Enfield was still standard issue along with the 1861 Springfield.

Don't know. I've never looked up any manufacturer's dates.

Not that I know of, have a few that could be around my year but never did research on them.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

Not that I'm aware of, but some are darn close. Have a four screw model 14 Smith....1959. A couple of other Smiths....1959 or 60. If I get one from 1958, I'm going to pony up the money for a letter from Roy Jinks to see if it was made on my birthday.

A few years ago, a guy down the street was selling a '58 Chevy Impala, and I thought, maybe....

No, I have some that are newer and older but nothing real close to the year I was born.

The problems we face today are there because the people
