    Wow, never saw that coming!

I just heard on the news that the Texas Legistlature will be considering Constitutional Carry of firearms in the coming year. No more classroom training or licenses to carry a firearm. I knew it would be an interesting year, but now they have my full attention.

I'm sure it will come up for discussion sometime after the Birth Certificate Bathroom Bill.

I think Texas paid attention to this past election that WE THE PEOPLE are getting pretty sick of them voting away our RIGHTS to appease some special interest group. It would behoove them to listen more carefully in the future.

You are beginning to see this gain momentum nationwide. I will still have the permit so I can carry when out of state. Until all States and the Federal Government obey the Constitution I will still what I need to to carry.

It was brought up in TN but was tabled at the last minute! I hope to see it back on the table. They did however abolish the switchblade law as well as the blade length and your now allowed to carry a loaded gun in your car by extending the castle doctrine to include your car.

Good news! If it passes, I'll probably keep my LTC. It helps speed up gun purchases if nothing else and it's OH so easy to re-up. 35 bucks and 10 minutes on the computer.

I just re-uped for the next 5 years so I don't really care a lot about Constitutional carry. If it passes, I want my $35 back.

On a personal level, I can't honestly see it making any big difference to me, just as "open carry" didn't except for the unintentional "printing and flashing" part. I haven't read the proposition so I don't have an opinion other than it possibly being a "feel good" exercise but is there any real need for it and why? I need to find it and read it.

It just started here in Missouri which is great but still makes more sense to have ccw so no issues traveling to other states (except Illinois). Will be glad when it's accepted everywhere but this is a great step forward.
