    I got evicted....

...from my mancave (still looking for a suitable name though)!

In the last episode of "Cave of Man"...

Our intrepid hero, finding the conditions in his garage near intolerable for reloading regardless the season (either too cold, too hot, full of mosquitos or full of spiders and other bugs, or - squirrels!) migrated his reloading operations to the spare bedroom upstairs, bothering no one in the process.

Life was good and, throughout the hot summer months and inclement weather of Autumn, our hero loaded over 6000 rounds of 9mm, .380, 10mm, .45ACP, .223, and 7.62x39. Life was good.

It was then, after finding comfort and solace, that his nemesis struck! The monster, known only as "Wyfe", ascended the stair perilous and breached his perimeter, issuing its terrifying battle cry, "LOOKATTHISMESS! WHATSALLTHISCRAPINHERE!". Then the Wyfe roared out the ultimate blasphemy, "THATHOPPES#9STINKS! GETITOUTTAHERE!"; which shattered the heroes resolve.

Stunned and disheartened, our hero did what any red blooded American would do - he defended himself and his cave from the encroacher; but alas, to no avail - the Wyfe was simply too powerful!

Defeated, he dragged his battle-worn carcass back out to the garage to lick his wounds - and then it struck him! That garage is simply enormous! He could build himself a new cave! It would be risky, and could provoke the Wyfe yet again, but if done right, could actually maybe even pacify the beast!

The obligatory "before" shot (well, before I built anything but after being evicted):

Good luck in the adventure. Are you adding a small A/C for summer?

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

Well done! I have thought of such a venture, but knowing my wife, as soon as I had it done and just right - she'd knock it down on accident with her car. She actually managed to close the garage door on the roof of the car once, safety sensors be damned...

Some times I think I married Lucy..

This is exactly why I never re-married.

Looks great. Very nice set up. Not bothering anyone. Let us know how it goes when you have to remove it all.

Yessir! Will probably just remove the bars from one of the rear windows and stick it in there.

I still need to put in a couple of power outlets, another bench light, and some shelving but otherwise, the heater gets it up to about 60° in there when the outside temp was 7° F so I'm about as happy as I can be. Its a good thing too, before, I had to figure a way to sneak things upstairs past the gatekeeper. Now just goes straight from the truck to the reloading room.

The funny thing is, with the extra wall space, I'm putting up peg board all around the outside and this actually sort of gives me more room.
