    Ammo shortage still?

I got a new 9mm for Christmas and the wife wanted to shoot hers so I went to town to buy some rounds, I thought. Bass Pro had 1 box of WWB, period, that's all they had. No problem, Walmart is right across the street, they had NONE. Said they hadn't had any in a week or so. Well there's more than Walmart in this stupid god forsaken town. They were out too, both of them. So I drove 25 miles to the north and finally found 4, 100ct boxes of the Federal 115gr FMJ. $25/box wasn't horrible so out the door I went after half a day and half a tank of gas but no time to go to the range.

Just for the record, they all laughed when I asked for .22lr.

It's probably the "new gun for Christmas" phenomenon. 12.50 for 50 is about the going rate for sale ammo in Northern Illinois!
It is difficult to gain the truth from the media in this age. It is a huge puzzle with small pieces. In order to solve it, one must have perseverance, all of the pieces, imagination, time, and most of all...the desire to put the picture together. Our real trouble is that there are far too few people today with the desire to do this.

    I will second Czechbikr's statement.
    It's after Christmas.
All the new guns need ammo so they can go out and play
plus all the ammo that was given as presents.
I usually wait until Feb./March before I begin to go back in to the gun shops around here.

I don't know what is up with Walmart in Florida, it almost seems like all they are getting in is center fire rifle and shotgun ammo. I asked at 4 different walmarts and they all told me they have no control on what comes in and none of them have seen bulk .22 in a while now.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

I've had ZERO trouble with bulk .22 ammo. I buy mine from an internet supplier that has a local B&M store nearby. They were NEVER out during the ammo shortage.
Now, 9mm and others have been spotty, at worst, but another internet gun shop with a large warehouse has or can get it rather fast for me.
Again, living in Phoenix does have some advantages.

From what I was told, they are still recovering from huge ammo sales prior to the election as people felt the need to stock up in case Hillary won.

We should see some relief from the panic purchases I would think!

hopefully it will catch up everywhere. Here, there really isn't much trouble getting anything now. Local store even has sales on ammo. Good luck, it will straighten out.
