pin this sucker!
MODERATORS: Since I've seen this question asked a couple of times it may need to be moved to the FAQ forum.
For over a decade a former NASA employee, Johnathan Arthur Ciener has been making high quality .22 conversion kits for a number of different popular models of hand guns and rifles.
The pistol conversions run $199 and extra spare magazines $35. Since they are not firearms, they can be delivered right to your door step.
Currently he makes .22 convesion kits for following popular handgun models...
Taurus PT92 / Beretta 92FS
Taurus PT1911 / Colt & other 1911 clones
Glock 19 / 17
Browning Hi Power
He also makes conversion kits for the following rifles...AR-15 / M-16 / Ruger Mini-14 / AK-47

I own the PT92/92FS and Glock 19 conversion units and am very pleased with their performance.
Besides utilizing cheaper .22lr ammo, you are using the same gun frame, grip, and trigger squeeze weight as the self defense gun you would normally carry; so it's a win/win situation.
What would it take to get him to make one for the PT 24/7 Pro ?
Expect a full report on it later today.
Just received mine yesterday for my 1911 put 500 rnds through it yesterday
and will another today.
There are pros and cons
The demand for a PT24/7 unit would have to be high since there is substantial cost in tooling up for a new conversion unit. What would it take to get him to make one for the PT 24/7 Pro ?
A Mini-14 that can shoot .22LR? Sweet!
Unfortunately for me I'm looking at the 6.8mm version...

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is.
I've posted in the "Other Firearms" section my first impressions of my Ciener 22 conversion.
I would be more than willing to contact him about sponsoring the site. That would help us out (keep the lights on here) and help him sell some more of his products.
That being the whole idea with sponsors and underlining why it's important to support the fine folks that do think enough of our site to sponsor it.
Would smoeone PM me some contact information please.
