I enjoy shooting paper targets at the range, but occasionally I need to head for the nearby solitary location where I can shoot targets that are a little more animated than usual. What do you shoot when you aren't hitting paper?
When the Cambrian measures were forming, they promised perpetual peace.
They swore if we gave them our weapons, the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed, they sold us, and delivered us bound to our foe.

Steel silhouettes are fun, I really like the CLANG that my 357 magnum makes and I like to see how far they move.
When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

If you can't shoot well, shoot often.
I voted other since I like to shoot stuff that explodes... like eggs, cantaloupes, melons, oranges. I also like to have someone else shoot them while I try to get photos of the stuff coming apart... emphasis on TRY.

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.' Thomas Jefferson
rifles are fun to shoot fruit with - lettuce, onions, tomatoes, all kinds of stuff explodes pretty spectacularly. We also took some old hard drives out and shot those, that's pretty cool too.

I like the plastic bottles (gatorade, water, detergent etc). But I also use plastic ground targets from here:

I've got a pistol cube and (somewhere) a 22 cube. The only problem I have is that the grass is long enough at times to hide the cubes.

Cans of red spray paint are the best! When you hit them they fly on a jet of red mist.
