Federal Ammo still making the Nyclad ammo

Just got a notification direct from Federal Premium Ammunition that states that Federal IS still making the 125gr.,standard pressure, P38MA ammo. There has been a lot of misinformation or fog as to whether Federal had stopped making the Nyclad. Federal kept on again and off again and then back on again announcements about Nyclad being made.

    Thought you folks should know.

As discussed in other threads here at TA, CCI/Speer is currently manufacturing aluminum cased, blue nylon jacketed BLAZER in 9mm, .40, and .45. They are sold at reasonable prices (by today's standards) at Cabela's under the Herter's - Made in USA label.

I shot 200 rounds of those last week. I really like them, I did get them at Cabelas.

I checked Cabela's site and they are dead out of any Herters ammo. So is everyone else it seems. Granted, one can back order it.

Good to know that Herter's is out there if an when available.

I have read numerous articles on this ammunition and all seemed to rate it pretty highly! I have looked for it and the non-+P Hydro-Shoks at the local gun shops but have not found any yet!

The Nyclad I would like to find is the 158 grain Semi-wadcutter hollow-point. It is great ammo, but it has been a few years since I have seen any.

I noticed their website always seems to say out of stock lately, but they do have stuff physically on the shelves in the stores, if you are in there at the right times. The nylon stuff is real hit or miss though, mostly miss at least that my personal experience.

Personally, I put Federal Nyclad .38 special ammo in the same group as the unicorn, Big Foot, and the Loch Ness Monster. People claim to have seen them, but I've never seen evidence of it.
