good deal on ammo, not great but good (Pearland TX)

Bass Pro shop in Pearland TX is having a grand opening sale through Oct. 28th and the add says WWB 100 round value pack 9mm is on sale for $13.99

before most of the price hikes I was OK with paying 12.88 for those at wally world so $13.99 is not to bad. I think last time I looked at wally world they were 15.88 or something close to that.

Re: good deal on ammo, not great but good (Pearland TX)

Bass Pro opened it's first Arizona store in Mesa about 4 months ago. Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful store--(much nicer than Sportsmans Warehouse and a little nicer than Cabelas)--but I will never go there again. > I went a month after they had opened and was perusing the firearms (nice selection of semi-autos). When I reached the revolvers I noticed there was not a gun to be found with a barrel less than 3 inches. I questioned the store manager and he said this to me, "Mr. Bass will not carry any firearm with a barrel length of under 3 inches." I told him that a lot of folks in the Phoenix area will not be pleased and Bass Pro needs to understand their markets better. WHAT STORE THAT SELLS FIREARMS DOESN'T CARRY SNUBBIES?!?!

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

BTW---I called Bass Pro and they still do not carry under 3 inch barrel firearms.
And to top it all off, they have the nerve to offer CCW permit classes on site without a snubby to sell their customers.

I live close to the original and main store in Springfield Missouri. Here too they will not sell a snubby and offer the CCW classes. Does not make much sense to me either. I find them very high priced on everything anyway .

Back to the original post, check out Academy, too. Their Monarch brand is pretty good stuff - reasonably clean, good accuracy and feeds well in my PT92 and my brother's 24/7. At least, it's good range ammo. My GP100 likes the Monarch .357 158 grain HPs, too.
