    Hornady Custom XTP - 9MM 115 Gr

Quick question for the ammo experts on here!

How does the Hornady Custom XTP 115 GR compare to the FTX or the Zombie Max line? What is the difference between these?

Natchez has some of the aforementioned XTP in stock, and I am down to my last 20 or so rounds of JHP. Thinking about buying a few boxes.

    Thanks!

I think the xtp is a less green zombie max.

well you could go to the hornady website and compare ballistics of the two and see if loading are different levels!
the projectile itself is not very different at all!
The FTX is a XTP projectile that has the addition of a poly tip in the hollow point cavity that is said to protect the hollow point from clogging as it passes through soft material like clothing.
The Zombie max is simply a marketing gimmic as far as i know?.
The last time i checked the hornady site they were both loaded to about the same ballistics, both are modern design low FPS expansion projectiles.
FYI- Fioochi loads its extrema line with XTP projectiles that match Hornady ballistics and are about 30-40% less in cost.

Don't think there is a real difference.

Thanks! Fiocchi ammo is good, but none to be found here. Slim pickings as far as 9MM of any kind goes. I called CDNN, as they had some stuff listed. No 9MM there. And surprisingly, no Taurus handguns of any variety.
