Only time I ever really open carry is if I'm out walking my dogs. Just easier if we happen upon a coyote or javelina down here in the desert

Live in Va. I do not open carry. Do not need the attention. But good to know I could if I wanted to

I only open carry on occasion and only on my property. It is legal in Maine to open carry and it is a whole lot more comfortable and convenient, but I prefer the element of surprise and the lack of stares from the squeamish when concealed carrying.

If you are comfortable with it and it is legal I say go for it and stay safe.

I live in VA and I open carry because it gives me the best chance to avoid an encounter. Criminals prey on the weak. When I am openly carrying I am doing everything possible to influence the predators decision away from me. To my way of thinking concealed carry leaves me with less choice on whether or not I must shoot since I would be surprising an assailant with a weapon.

Since Texas doesn't have Open Carry for pistols and revolvers I only open carry when I am in New Mexico. Even so, I use discretion as I don't want some hand wringing bed-wetter freaking out when they see a pistol on my hip. Then it goes under a loose-fitting untucked shirt.

Only on my property, the state is open carry, but every town and county can pass their own restrictions. :-(
Thank you, to all who serve; past, present and future. It is people, like you, who are willing to serve that have made this a great nation. I pray for your safety, your family, and the leaders that make decisions that affect you. I will always pray for and respect the office of the President of the United States, I don't have to like the person elected. Until he comes, or calls me home, here by the power of Christ I'll stand.

I believe that every gun owner should have the right to open carry if he/she chooses to, however the State of Florida disagrees with me. That being
said, when I lived in Maine, I rarely open carried, except during hunting season.
