Don't remember exactly where. I was living in Georgia at the time. I do remember my hand brushing against it every few seconds. I think mainly because I was worried about it popping out from under my concealment garment.
I posted this in another forum, but I just did my first concealed carry last week - I was pretty nervous too, just a quick in the store and out again.
So do you remember when and where you were when you first concealed your firearm? What was it?

About me - I take very little seriously especially myself.
Ignorance is the lack of knowledge. Stupid is the refusal to do anything about it.
My first CC handgun was this Millennium Pro PT138; and the first time I carried on my belt in it's holster underneath an untucked shirt into the Kroger store, I felt as invincible as Bruce Willis in the movie, Die Hard.
Hey, I still like the security and confidence that I feel with my CC handgun on my person when I'm out in public.

My first official CC was with my Kimber in an OWB holster and I carried at our local Farmer Jack now Kroger store. I wasn`t nervous but, it did feel extremely strange though. Now if I don`t have my pistol on me that feels extremely strange.

My first carry was with an S&W snub nose Bodyguard six shot with no rounds in the chamber. I was nervous enough just carrying it empty and was even more nervous that somehow everybody had "x-ray" vision and could see that I was carrying. I actually practiced this way for a week or two before carrying fully loaded, once that happened I was a little more nervous because now I was "armed & dangerous" to myself and somehow possibly to the public.
The good news is after awhile the initial jitters go away and gets replaced by confidence of concealment and confidence of being a responsible law-abiding CCW owner. Now I'm either carrying a chambered PT145 in IWB or chambered TCP738 in a pocket whenever I go anywhere it is allowed.
Now what will make me nervous is if I leave the house without it. I've even had bad dreams (nightmare?) of being in one of those “Murphy Law” street situations where I needed to grab my protection and it was not there because it was left at home! The scary dreams before was being caught in the street wearing only underwearnow it's fully clothed but no gun!
I'm thankful we live in a place that allows us the peace of mind knowing we have the means to protect ourselves, family and friends through the means of CCW.

1994, Maine. Local PD tells me my permit is ready, I pick it up, Chief says "don't shoot anybody!" as he hands me my permit, I say "No Problem" and "Thank you" , went home and put my gun on my waist .
I did feel like everyone knew I was up to something, like I had a huge neon sign over my head that reads HE'S GOT A GUN!! but that only lasted a few minutes, after all I have carried more firepower than this before and I managed to stay a "good guy" so I should be fine with my sidearm.

3 years ago, at the time it was only my 2nd Taurus, I strapped my PT145 I just bought onto my waist. Made a special trip to Kroger and like GunsandNoses said, I was sure everybody in the city of Mt Washington was looking at the 3 oclock position of my waist
