Until SC changes the law (hopefully early next year to permit-less carry) one cannot have a weapon in the vehicle without a CWP.
    There are 3 exceptions.
Going to or from the range.
Going to or from the GS. (Taking it in for sale or repair and bringing home a new purchase or repair)
Moving from one home to another.
At least that's how I interpret the current law.

If I am awake, I am carrying. They don't call it home invasion for nothing.

Call both a CWP instructor and a lawyer who specializes in gun law and ask to make sure. It wouldn't hurt just in case you can.

nope. Just have every room "covered". this way everyone in the family doesn't have to walk around with there carries. We all know where to reach. So it is a first come first served.
    Only carry when out.

    Same here.

Ever since I read of an unarmed elderly man who was murdered in his home by intruders when he got out of the shower to go investigate the noise of the intrusion, I've been carrying in the home. I leave my handgun on a bath stand next to the tub when I take my evening bath.
