    transfer of ccw

I used to live in florida and moved to arkansas and am in the process of transfering my ccw to arkansas the time limit is 120 days it has been over 100 days so far just for a transfer they say they are waiting on my backround check from the fbi my uncle has been waiting fo over 120 days now. has anyone else had this problem of it taking so long to get your fbi backround checks back? when i got my florida ccw it only took 8 weeks to get it. Is there a influx of ccw permits now for some reason. just thought I would check with other people in other states... thanks for your time

I'm guessing that as long as you have applied within the 120 days, you will be OK. But that is purely a guess. Call your local sheriff and ask.

I've never heard of tranferring a permit. You have applied for a Arkansas permit, right?

I would think it would have been faster to just apply for a permit for Arkansas and not even bother transferring the Florida permit.

I could have transfered my Florida CCW permit to Kentucky. I let it expire more than the 90 days they will honor it so I had to go through the whole process again.
