If you wear a jacket or coat of sorts I'd suggest a crossdraw owb holster or an underarm holster
Ok, so I bought me a in the pants holster that can fit in the small of your back (Uncle Mikes) and wore my P111 for the first time yesterday. God it was so uncomfertable. I woke up this morning and could hardly move. The small of my back has been killing me all day. Needless to say I'm not wearing it today. Hell at this point they can just shoot me, at least then my back wont hurt. I ended up ordering the Kangaroo sholder holster last night. So far this will be the 3rd holster I've tried. The first one was a DeSantis Thumb-Break Scabbard, but I felt the handle of the gun stock out. So then I got the Uncle Mikes Inside-the-Pant Holster. That one has about killed me.
SOOOOOO, what do you use? I'm an admin person. I'm looking for some thing that I can sit in a chair with and it not stick me. I think the Kangaroo is gona work, but just in case.

An OWB pancake holster could be far more comfortable IMHO. Also I have read some articles suggesting that the 'small of the back' holster carry presents a threat of spinal injury were the wearer to fall backwards and land on their pistol?
Several firearms in .22LR, .380ACP, 9mm, 7.62x25, 7.62 Nagant. 7.62x54R and .45ACP. Lee Classic 4-hole turret and Lee breech-lock single stage.
If you wear a jacket, I'd recommend a pancake style holster, strong side, about 4 o'clock. If you need to conceal while not wearing a jacket, go with the kholster, it is very reasonably priced and tuckable. I concur with what others have said about SOB holsters potentially causing spinal injuries.
There are a lot of choices out there, good luck with your search. Let us know what you decide on, it may help someone else later down the road.

I carry the 24/7 C 45, which is almost identical to you 111, in an IWB Sudden Imapct holster by HighNoon in the 3 O'Clock or 3:30 position. I find it more comfortable than in my back and more accessable if needed.

I'm partial to a 3:30 or 4:00 carry. I use IWB, and OWB sometimes in cooler weather. Whichever, they're both carried in the same location.

Crossbreed Supertuck seems to be what I hear everyone is wearing. I'm actually about to order one as well. The only down side is that there is a 6 wk delay because they are a small store and make them by hand when the orders come in. The cost is about $70. Go to their website and check them out.
I would save some money and get a kholster for $45 with a week turnaround. Check Kholster.com I have one for my PT145 and find it very comfortable.
It has taken almost 3 weeks for my Kholster, but it shipped last night so I should have it in my grubby paws by Mon or Tues.Originally Posted by youngandfree
