Women and concealed carry holsters

My wife carries a Kel-Tec P3AT with a waistband clip on it, so when she needs to carry it on her person, it just clips to her waistband (with no holster). The gun is so small that it is even with tight fitting clothes I can't tell is there.

She does not want to add another peace of baggage and she would have to carry that and a purse since her woman stuff would not all fit in a fanny pack

I am leaning towards the the holster maker that made leather holsters for women towards the beginning of the topic...

wow...after reading this , I see it is a challenge for most women to carry concealed..That sure does stink

My wife found the only place for her is SOB and her purse ( and that gets to heavy)..she has the same problem..I want her to get a smaller gun but she likes her S/W 357..lol..It is pretty big on her..Now for me It is perfect for CCW...

My wife always carried in the purse until recently. She now has a belt clip for her pistol and she likes it much better ( and so do I )

My wife carries a 24/7 Pro C in a shoulder rig. She has tried others holsters but that is what she is most comfortable with. My wife is 5'9 and 115 but heavy up top. I don't know how she clears the pistol and shoots, but she does.

Hi Splat, I'm a lady who carrys myself. I'm currently carrying a Taurus PT111 as my main carry gun. I found the beauty of a Don Hume holster and love it! Mine is a OWB which is a pancake type and snugs in really close if you are wearing it about 4PM on your body. It fits much like my Galco pancake I have for my 1911. I've found paddle holsters are great, I like the Fobus, but it takes the right, bulky clothes or bulky coat. I like your wife don't care much for off body carry. I do resort to that at times, and have found a host of purses that will accommodate carry if needed that don't have the "Concealed purse" look to them. Look for a fairly large one with a good pocket that can be isolated for carry. My best luck on that has been Guess, Forever 21 and some of the lines at Belk Stores. And don't be opposed to buying a gun for her specifically for carry in lighter (summer) situations. I dress way differently in the different seasons. It just takes some time and some effort, (and a little shopping cash LOL) to find the right combo. Good luck to you and her!!

Best piece of advise. I had issues finding a holster as I am 6Ft. and weight fluctuates from 125-160. I just went to the gun show and tried everyone I was till I found one that was comfortable.

Here is a custom shoulder rig that my wife uses. It carries the gun strong side. Shown with a Beretta Tomcat. She will not wear a belt. She sews a button on her pants for the hold down strap. Worn with an untucked shirt or blouse it works for her.
