    Millennium Pro PT140

Hello everyone, I have a few questions, but considering this is my first post allow me to introduce myself.

I am 25 years old, live in South Florida and I am a lawyer. I've been carrying a Colt 1911A1 for a while and recently decided to switch to Glock P27 but I didnt like the "no safety" option. So today I bought a Tarus Millennium Pro 140 (I think 3rd Gen but not 100% it has Millennium on left side and PT140 Pro on right)

    Now for my questions:

    1) What brand and type of ammo should I use for concealed carry? JHP or pre-frags etc.

    2) Are there any inside the pants-behind the back holsters for the PT140? (Yes I know it is not safe to carry behind the back but it is the only thing I am use to and does "show" when I carry)

    Re: Millennium Pro PT140

definitely go with jhp for self defense, i don't go with any brand in particular, just whatever is available. some may have brand preference and be able to shed some light in that area. check out kholster.com for a good cc holster. use code 10-1995 for 10% off. you can also find them on ebay. welcome to the forum, there is alot of good info and knowledgeable people here. congrats on the pt140!

I would recommend shooting a few brands of hollow points to see which ones your gun will feed best. Some times hollow points can fail to feed so try out a few to find some that feed reliably.
    Congrats on the new gun.

Welcome to Taurus Armed from Lubbock, Texas. Since you live in South Florida, you aren't likely to encounter any bad guys with heavy coats. The CCI Gpld dots and the Federal HST are great rounds if they will feed well in your PT140. Excellent expansion and weight retention. They are only $23.95 and $24.95 for a box of 50, just great rounds and a great price.

Sounds good Jake, I will check it out but I am still open to other people's imput

I cant go testing JHP rounds because my range doesnt allow JHP ammo to be fired

Oh and PS should i get 165 grain or 180 grain? (I know 180 is max but maybe 165 is better?)

    Re: Millennium Pro PT140

There seem to be proponents of both weights, the 165 grain is faster, and I believe penetration and expansion are both fairly equal with both weights of bullets. Recoil will also be about equal. The .40 S & W has enough velocity in the 180 grain anyhow, and I'd probably stick with that. NYPD is the expert on the .40 S & W and I know he reccommends both rounds I have posted above. There is another thread on the .40 and NYPD didn't seem to prefer one weight over the other. Here is the other thread on the .40

    Re: Millennium Pro PT140

I also live in Florida, and my PT-140 Millennium Pro is the gun that I carry most often.

I use the "Cuda" model holster from http://www.simplyrugged.com/ Conceals very well under just a T-shirt.

I only use Winchester PDX1 ammo (180 grain) for carry

    Re: Millennium Pro PT140

Yeah i just went to the range with the gun, fired 76 shots and then she stopped firing...

I cleaned it, field stripped it, changed mags, changed ammo, held the mag in, nothing worked. I posted on M Pro forums for support, I am alittle mad!
