what do you mean it just stopped firing? why did you hold the mag?

Held the mag incase that was the problem but it wasnt...

I cant figure it out, just stopped firing. I press the trigger and nothing happens. Guys at the gun range couldnt figure it out either.

I took apart the whole gun, cleaned firing pin, springs etc. Still not working

Post a pic of the firing pin if possible.. Kinda un likeyly but it could have broke. What kinda sound did it make?? Does it still pop when you dry fire it??

Sorry your gun stopped working. Hopefully it will be an easy fix. If not, from what I can tell from internet postings, when people need to send their gun in to Taurus for warranty service, they usually get it right.

I love my PT 140 Millennium Pro. Mine is the 2nd generation. The differences are the trigger (mine is true DAO, the 3rd gen is SA with double strike capability, basically a SA/DA) and the sights (mine has a set screw and are 3 dot, the 3rd gen is dovetailed and Heine Straight 8s). Another thing to help you figure which you have, did you buy new or used? If new, I highly doubt there are any 2nd gens still out there as "new old stock" as it has been several years since the switch. Either one is a nice gun.

For defensive ammo I generally prefer Speer Gold Dots or one of the smaller specialty manufacturers (like Georgia Arms) that use Gold Dot bullets. However, with .40S&W and .45ACP, and the more usual weight bullets, I tend to be less choosy as I feel pretty comfortable with the calibers and buy what is on sale among the decent defensive ammo. I prefer 180gr JHPs with .40S&W, but I'm OK with the 165gr. I currently am using some older designed Remington, but again, I do usually prefer Gold Dots.

For holsters, I'm not a fan of small of the back carry (but then, I'm clumsy and could see myself falling on it, especially this time of year when it can sometimes be icy). But that is what you like. I like High Noon Holsters (http://highnoonholsters.com) and they do make several IWB small of back holsters. The Tail Gate model is tuckable and the Tailgunner is not.

watch this video pull out your striker fire assembly then post back with a report. i think i posted in your mp thread as well. but odds are its 1 of 3 things. captive firing sping assembly is toast. firing pin is broke at the tip. of the firing pin block safety is broke.
