What I don't understand is why does MN just say we only honor permits for people from these state that are over 21? Problem Solved.

Money talks, want to help push MN into changing their thoughts or honoring permits, write to their tourist development group. Explain to them that you planned an expensive family vacation to their state and see they don't honor your permit, so you were forced to change your plans to another state. Enough people do it, it could help make a change. See it in Florida all the time.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

It should be made that all 50 states were the same. After all it is in the constitution.

In Missouri you will still be able to get the conventional permit a couple long term or life permit. If traveling I would suggest keeping the regualr permit. It is refreshing to have options. Open carry is strengthend, cities can only require a permit to open carry. SO you can open carry anywhere conceal carry is permitted. The regular villians being St. Louis and Jackson county areas.

Under Gov. Nixon the State Preemption bill passed and State law now over rides local law in MO.

OC used to be a patchwork across the state with StL and KC being nearly impossible to navigate. You could literally cross the street and go from legal to felon in the process.

OC is State wide now - regional laws cannot change that.

    -----------------------------

StL has an aggressive candidate running in the coming mayoral race - LYDA KREWSON. She is proposing a very strong anti gun platform. Most of it would not be legal and she's probably using it as a stunt to get the sheeple vote. According to her she is the current leader in the polls. She's trying the gun violence = health crisis angl.

StL and MO are very gun positive. The state should shut her down if she wins especially with our new R - military background Governor. Time will tell.

As a current Alderwoman she can propose local legislation and has submitted an anti 'assault weapon' bill:

"The assault weapon ban would make it illegal for anyone to import, sell, manufacture, transfer or possess an assault weapon in St. Louis. It would not apply to law enforcement or members of the military.
Should the bill pass, city residents who already own an assault weapon would have 60 days after it becomes law to dispose of the weapon or remove it from the city limits.

The bill broadly defines assault weapons, but in an interview, Krewson summed them up as military-style weapons.
“Most people don't think assault weapons are essential to self-defense or hunting,” she said.
Any assault weapon carried or possessed after the ban takes effect would be subject to seizure and forfeiture by the city. Violating the law would carry a 90-day jail sentence and up to a $500 fine."

She has also submitted a second bill that would REQUIRE guns in unattended vehicles to be in lock boxes.
Pending proposals from her platform would limit magazines to a 5 round capacity. Anything larger would not be legal.
There's more. She's not elected but she's sure staking her claim.

If elected and if if she follows through with her over-the-top position she'll be a potential large waste of energy - be that from the state, city officials, the citizens or ALL.

    Heads-Up Saint Louis!!!

She can propose anything she wants. State law says local municipalities can not make any laws, regulations, or ordinances that are more restrictive than state law. Sad that we can't just give St Louis to Illinois.

Good heavens, the woman has an old Hillary Clinton hair style from the 80s. THAT explains a lot
