Just found this site with current information on concealed carry and which states have CCW Reciprocity. This is current as of March1, 2009. I know a while ago someone posted the map but I thought this was easy to read and is current.
Looks like there are only a few problem areas left. I can only assume NRA is working on them.

And, what is up with California? Only issues celebrities? Guess I would be forced to get a 2 bit part in a movie and then apply as a celebrity.

Leave it to California to issue only to the most mentally unstable and drug dependent bunch of lunitics in the country other than their politicians.
Character and Ethics count, don't leave home without them. Or your CCW!

Remember that just because a state honors your state's permit, actual laws can vary substantially from one state to another.
Yep you need to make sure you research the laws in each state you will be visiting or passing through. The WEB has made this much easier too! I tend to look up the laws and print them and then put them in a folder and take them with me so that I can refer to them in the hotel evenings... I also Hi light differences from my home state so that I can pursue them easily!

Not that I am defending California or nothin' but there are a LOT of states who offer no reciprocity of ccw recognition whatsoever! What is the message they are trying to send?Originally Posted by .452dia
And, then, there's the states who recognize that we are all live in the same nation and, as such, afford us ccw reciprocity everywhere: Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee.
And, lastly, those states that recognize your constitutional rights at birth and either recognize 2A by not requiring a permit or by acknowledging your right to a gun with a drivers license: Alaska and Vermont.![]()
