Picked up NC CCW today
After sweating it out ( for no good reason ) for 60 days,I picked up my CCWP today. I served in the Corps for 23 years and had a weapon of one kind or another on me all the time, but somehow this is different. Feels real good though.

From what I hear from students is that if you have lived in several places or just moved within the last year from another state it can take longer to do the background checks since they have to receive a reply from the Sheriffs of each county you lived in. People who have lived in the same county still take a couple of weeks. A lot depends on the Sheriff's Office and how fast they process the paperwork.
