    Church Carry in TX

I was just reading the Texas Concealed Handgun law (2007-200 from the TX DPS website and have a question. I know it used to say that in order for the restriction prohibiting carry in church (46.035 (b)(6)) that a 30.06 sign must be posted. Now, I can't find the clause that a church must be posted. It used to be there. Has anyone else noticed that? Is it gone, or I just can't find it?

I took the concealed Handgun class about two months ago in the great state of TEXAS and the instructor, who is a retaired officer, said you can carry in church if it is not posted.

What you are looking for is in 46.035 of the penal code, section b (6). You'll find the amendment that currently allows CHL holders, to carry, unless posted or notified, near the end of PC 46.035 sec (i).

I guess that means you can "Praise Lord and Pass (carry) the ammunition", huh?!

Not robbery we are worried about in church, but some nut job coming in to shoot up the place, its happened before, restaurants, church, you name it, so we want to be able to protect ourselves from those that carry without regard for the law.

Man, that´s one I´ve never considered. Guess I look for god to cover me while I´m in his house. If it happens it´s his will. I´m not getting into a gun fight or spilling blood in a church... But don´t get me wrong, I´m all for your right to do it.
