    Shooting gloves for the ladies?

    Ladies,

Bought my wife the taurus M380. Went to the range today and she is having problems with it hurting the area on the thumb between the thumb and first finger. Have looked on line to see if I can find any shooting gloves but all seem to be too large. Thinking about the Crimson Trace LG385 rubber overmold grips but I have now been on line with Taurus customer service on hold for over 30 min. to see if these grips will fit the mini, same as a small frame revolver. need one or the other.

    Thanks for your help.

    TM

I have used impact protection gloves, that leave the finger tips exposed, and are padded in the critical area's. I found mine at Harbor Freight! Not sure how small the come in sizes.

You can also use self sticking ace wrap. I don't like gloves and when shooting the judge it stings the palm of my hand. A little of the ace wrap and I'm good. Fingers are exposed, nothing is loose and moving around. Nice tight and cushioned. Toss it when your done. You can even buy it in colors at farm stores in the horse section. Oh and I should also mention, because of the type of self adhering material, it's grippy too so no slipping.

The ace wrap is a fantastic idea! i have a shooting glove but even in the smallest size, it has too much material that bunches up on the palm. Wrap and forget!

Personally I rarely ever shoot without gloves. It doesn't require much padding - just a little something to keep the rubbing to a minimum. My favorite shooting gloves are Mechanix Originals. They're made with synthetic leather, and are both washable and breathable, and they come in women's sizes. They provide enough dexterity to do things like loading magazines, and they also protect your hands from sharp edges. That's not why I originally started wearing gloves to shoot though - I got tired of having filthy hands every time I got through shooting. They stay a lot cleaner with gloves.

Check out this link. Gripswell makes a number of shooting gloves for both men and women. I wear them when I shoot and can tell you that they fit well and work as advertised. Many of the women I shoot with also wear them and say they make a difference. Click on the sizing guide and it will tell you how to measure for proper fit.
