    My wife cares a couple of knives in her "big bag". They're more for utility than self defense though. If she's carrying one of her small purses, she has a small double bladed Old Timer she got from her Dad's junk drawer after he died. One of her big blades IS big enough to leave a very nasty cut. The only thing she's used it for however was to gut a catfish (she used it as a screw driver once too).
    Children, pets, and slaves get taken care of. Free Men take care of themselves.

    Stock up on ammo. We'll have to save ourselves from those who want to save the world.

    My wife and I both carry the Kershaws. I went to assisted opening because thumb surgery made it hard for me to use a thumb stud quickly. Once my wife saw it she wanted one. She carries the Leek, because it's smaller and thin, and I carry the Scalion because it's larger.
