    issue with iwb

bought my 1st iwb holsters a standard for my ruger sr9c and tuck 3.0 for my 1911 officers yesterday was the 1st time carrying iwb I think I will like it if I can figure out the MAJOR safety issue I am having my 1911 safety was off twice during the day. I have never has any issues with it while carrying OWB. I will do further testing by carrying the gun with a empty chamber but cocked and locked. any suggestions as to how to solve this problem? 1911 safety is normal compared to my other 1911s. When I get back home I will try the sr9c and see if it has a problem

That's a good idea to test it empty. Maybe you moved in a certain way that cause it to do it or you tucked you shirt around it?
You can feed the problem or the solution.... Whichever you feed is the one that will grow...

The plunger and spring detent is what holds the safety in the pistol and provides the pressure to make the "click" when it is moved. Does yours move too easily? Is it single sided or double?

It is difficult to gain the truth from the media in this age. It is a huge puzzle with small pieces. In order to solve it, one must have perseverance, all of the pieces, imagination, time, and most of all...the desire to put the picture together. Our real trouble is that there are far too few people today with the desire to do this.

1st let me say that Alien Gear has been great dealing with this problem I emailed them Saturday morning 31 dec and they responded later that day to tell me they were sending another shell and a hardware kit for me to try. Monday received tracking info. When I receive them I will test and see if the problem is fixed

The safety is a single sided and it is easier than some of my other 1911s and harder than some so I would say its normal also I have carried it 5+ years owb with no safety issues the safety is making a indentation in the back shell.

What position are you carrying your gun at? I carry an SR1911CMD some and at the 4:30-5 o'clock position. I was worried something like this might happen to me but so far it hasn't. Hopefully the new shell and hardware will fix your problem.

I carry closer to the 3:00 o'clock position. I find it more comfortable while sitting/driving
