Congrats on what sounds like a great experience.
Took the wife to the range this morning with her new pink TCP 738. I did the complete cleaning/detailing on it and also all the enhancements in the sticky on the 738. Can't say enough good about this little gun. It ate 50 rounds of Remington UMC ammo without a FTF or FTE. It is a little monster and she loves it. She did let me shoot one magazine of 6 and the pinky bump I added is a great addition for her and I both. I did let her shoot one magazine of my 24/7 OSS .45 cal, but that holds 12 rounds, so she got to shoot mine twice as much! No big deal - seeing her grin while she pulls the trigger is alright by me. The TCP is a C model and her only complaint was the front of the gun got dirty from the powder! Wiped it down for her as soon as we got home.
Congrats on what sounds like a great experience.

I ran another 50 thru mine today also...this time fed fmj...nary a problem...the 709 slim on the other hand is giving me fits with the sights. Tried zeroing it in today as I have had the low lefts since I bought it. Seems there is not enough adjustment. I did get it to level up better on the up down but it still shoots left pretty badly. This was shooting from resting on a bench and bag. I wish they would have put better steel sits on this instead of plastic. May have to try the Advantage Tactical sights I found on the net. Hate dropping 80 more bucks on a new firearm.![]()

I commend you for taking time out of your schedule to spend with your wife at the range.![]()

Been married since 1978 - high school sweethearts. She is the best as she is comfortable making a quilt or riding her Harley or shooting guns. I hit the lottery when I found her.
Sounds like you found a keeper. Let her know that a dirty barrel only means that we had a functioning weappn, its kinda like an honor badge for the gun. Glad you two had fun at the range.
