    PT 709 Slim

    Hello all....I just purchased a NIB 709 slim. I went to my LGS and compared it to a LC9. Can't went to go the range and try it out.

    CLEAN AND LUBRICATE the gun before that trip. Don't forget to do the same with the magazines. Mine likes 124 gr rounds for accuracy. It will need a couple of hundred rounds for everything to work itself in. Mine never stuttered, but some do.

    Don't skip cleaning the firing pin housing before range trip #1. I skimped on that and wished that I had not. See my range reports with a new 709 vs my Kahr CW9 and my Sig 250C - a non scientific bit of fun at the range using a selection of my 9mm ammo stash.

    I am curious to read about how you like the PT709 especially compared to some of the other guns you have listed. I am way more accurate with my brother's Ruger SR9c than I am with my PT709, but I like my for a carry gun.
