file the screw that is used for your Pt709 front site down about three threads.

**FYI here is a picture that I found on the internet showing the Taurus 24/7 G2 rear sights that show that they are the same as the Taurus PT709 / 740 models. God Bless

Sure looks like it,unfortunately I dont think anyone is making aftermarket sights for either at this time.
If guns kill people mine are all defective

Of all the races in America, only whites have been tricked into thinking that a preference for one’s own kind is racism.

I just ordered a set of adjustable Williams Firesights from Brownell's (that is where I found the best price at $59) for my PT 640 Pro.
The model 70969 is listed for the dovetail models of the Millenium Pro series and the 24/7.

I currently have this 70969 adjustable firesight on my PT145 Millenium Pro, and they are great! While not tritium night sights, they do collect any ambient light, even in low light conditions
and show bright dots (red and green).

Before I install the sights on my PT 640 Pro, I will try them on the 709.

I just checked - the dovetail on my 709 Slim rear sight is NOT the same as the dovetail on the 24/7 or the PT Millenium Pro series. The front sight on the 709 is not in a dovetail. Maybe the 24/7 G2 has a different dovetail than the 24/7 listed on the Firesights webpage.

The Firesights I mentioned in post #18 will NOT fit a 709/740.

    Sorry for any confusion.
