Cool picked up my new BUG today

by new BUG, i am referring to my new taurus pt738 TCP.
already ran 50 rnds of WWB through it, aaand after the first mag, ZERO issues of any kind.
this was the CLEANEST NIB pistol i have ever seen.
i broke it down to give her a good scrubbing and other than the ring on the slide from the test frie at taurus, it was spotless.
the barrel was clean, nothing on the patches i ran down it, the slide had some light oil but nothing like my pt145 (which was caked with grease in every possible place)

and the last round i fired, the casing came back and smoked me in the forehead. (none of the other 49 did that)
over all, im thoroughly stoked about my newest pistolé

I think those smacks on the forehead are just to keep us alert at all times while shooting, LOL! My daughter had a cow the 1st time time she got smacked w/ her TCP.

Congrats on your new "bug". Great piece there, easy to carry, and fun shooting!
My PT609 smacks once in a while. Usually when I take a bad shot. Guess it's letting me know that it was me, and not the gun! :-)

I normally carry my PT145 in a DIY-tuck, and the past few nights it's been very hot and humid around here. I have found myself sweating all over the butt of my pistol, and I don't particularly like exposing it to that kind of thing. Consequently I've been looking around for something I can drop in a pocket. As was the case with my PT145 I'm finding that Taurus again seems to have the best mix of features of what's available in its class. From what I've seen I'm leaning heavily towards the 738 - small size, light weight, nice trigger, inherent safety of DAO, last shot hold-open, two magazines included, and a lifetime warranty. Did I miss anything? Looks to me like you made a heckuva good choice. It's purty too .
