My TCP sight mod

OK granted the TCP is NOT a target pistol. In the event that it's needed it's most likely going to be point and shoot very quickly. That said it's nice to have the option to take aim. I used a 1/16thdrill bit and dimpled the front and rear sites. I then filled in the dimples with SINFUL COLORS Nail polish "Summer Peach #53" purchased at Walgreens for $1.99. Have you checked out the post "enhancing the sight on a TCP?
there are many different ways that members have enhanced the sights on thier 738's.
using everything from fingernail polish, model airplane paint, to glow in the dark paints and powders.
Greenwolf did dots similiar to yours with a glow in the dark paint, but used a different approach.
The lil sights on the gun are almost non existant for sure.

I have no idea how they came up with that name. It looks like a neon international orange to me. the photos don't show the color that well.

I did look at his and they are great. I didn't want to spend money on "glow in the dark" paint though. After all I don't plan on going to the range at night for target practice and they have to be "charged" with light before they glow. usually...

Very nice work and the 738 benefits immensely from any help on those sights. It seems the basic assumption on the 738 (and just about all of the small auto genre) is that you don't need to aim because of the expected short range engagements (and also that many "experts" advocate point shooting) but to me, because of the small caliber, your shots need to be placed more precisely in order to have the desired effect (that you survive the encounter).

I tried to go your route when I first started looking at those 738 sights, but I had too hard a time getting the slide in position for my drill press. The advantage of what I did with the slots was to pull more light in. Even without the glow-in-the-dark feature the slots bring in more light and I thought that if I had to use that 738 it would more than likely be in a low light situation.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and your way is very attractive and shows great workmanship.
