    Taurus TCP with Kel-Tec PF-9

Here are some comparative photos with the sizes easily seen. The PF-9 is possible as a pocket gun, but the TCP is REALLY GREAT as a pocket gun...Of course the caliber is different, but I think it is an interesting comparison, anyway. Somehow these two guns remind me of each other.

Those are interesting photos. What I would like to see sometime, and maybe somebody has done it and I haven't seen it yet, are side-by-side comparisons of the PF9 and the 709. I think that would be a more apples to apples peek at how good Taurus did in keeping their 'Slim' line truly slim. I think the PF9 is the narrowest 9mm gun made, besides a $1000 Rohrbaugh. And who knows, it may have that beat.

    Great pictures !

Great post. Didn't realize the TCP was THAT much smaller than the PF-9.

    Excellent comparison photos!

I think I'll stick to my TCP for a pocket pistol.

The larger and heavier KelTec in the picture would be too bulky for a skinny guy like me to carry in his pocket.

The trigger guard looks massive on the 709 and 738 compared to the Keltecs. That's why I sold my P3AT and bought the Taurus 738.

There's quite a size difference. And I notice that the 709 is rather "thick" above the trigger. The trigger mechanism must be really different from that of the TCP. Not just larger, but different, somehow.

Re: Taurus TCP with Kel-Tec PF-9

I was looking at the tcp and ended up with the pf9. I love the size. I carry IWB or coat pocket all the time.

I am still considering a tcp for the summer though.
