    Picked up a TCP today!

    Hi,

I've been wanting one for a while now. I got it at the Euclid Ohio G.S. It's a blued one for $279 OTD. Not too bad. They had the BSS versions the last time I was at that GS for $252.00 but they didn't have any this time.
I picked up 100 rds of WWB at Wal-Mart and I hope to put 70-80 through it tomorrow. The serial # is 39xxxB so hopefully she'll run great right out of the box. Now I just need a good IWB and a good pocket holster.

Congrats! I'd also like to get a TCP in black SS. Please remember to give a range report.

Wal-Mart had 380 ammo was it a value pack?? How much was it and how many rounds per box. Thanks and I hope you have good luck with yours like I've had with mine.

Great purchase. You are going to love the gun mine goes just about evrywhere with me. Don't get frustrated if the pistol does not function perfectly for the first 100-200 rounds in that they usually require some breaking-in. They also tend to be a little ammo sensitive so what works for someone else may not work for you.
For pocket holsters I would recommend the Desantis Pocket Nemesis.

And for the IWB I have been using the Galco Stow-N-Go designed for the LCP but seems to work fine on the TCP even with the biger trigger guard. I imagine the Tuck-N-Go would work as well but I needed something designed for a southpaw.

Re: Picked up a TCP today!Range report

    Hi,

I ran 78 rounds of WWB through it today. Not one FTF or FTE. However, I was using a bit more oil than I normally would. The slide locked back on each empty magazine. It did hesitate to load the first round from a fresh mag a few times but, I wasn't using the slide release button; I was pulling the slide to the rear and releasing it manually. All in all, I'm stoked and very, very pleased!

So far I think it's a great pistol!
If anyone wants to be awed by my master shooting skills, I can post some pictures of my targets....... :P

Great to hear. Wally around here has Rem UMC 88 grain JHP box of 100 for $32. Could use as range AND self defense ammo. Keep lurking around the ammo case, they only get a few boxes at a time and they go fast.

The Wally world here has the Winny value pack at about 30-32 bucks for the 100 round pack, i just eyeballed it as for price and more than what i normally pay for FMJ.
    try checking ammunitiontogo.com
they have /had PMC for 12.50 per box, Parvi for about 13.00 a box, occasionally have S & B at about 13-13.50 per box.
shipping for me here in Georgia is about another 75 cents to 1 buck a box and gets here in 3-4 days from ordering.
they also have excellent prices on Fiocchi self defense ammo in the 380 caliber, as well as stocking the Hornady FTX self defense round usually.

This is where I usually go for all of my ammo needs

I love that shipping is calculated in with price.

Don't forget what ever you order is going to cost at least 10 dollars shipping so you may not save much for FMJ
