    Cool Taurus 24/7 .40 cal.

I have ben trying to find a Taurus 24/7 40 caliber with the tan colored grip and frame. I found they have been discontinued, So I bought a 24/7 blued. I would like to find the tan grip and frame so that I can interchange them if anyone has one or a link to find one please let me know.

Have you ever used the Duracoat product? If you have what is the best way to apply it. There are several different products, only I don't have a compressor or the small airgun. I could get the airgun from Duracoat but. that doesn't change the fact I have nop acces to a compressor. Also I am debating about using the softsand additive. I just want to know if this is something I can do. I have handled and dissasembled fifles and pistols my entire life since I was 16 I'm now 49. SO I'm thinking the shakee and spray and using the oven.

Thanks Elwood717 As soon as I get the Duracoat so I can change the look and feel of the frame I'll be in heaven because it will more or less be the gun I have been looking for for almost a year.

Nope but my younger brother had and he did excellent jobs on his pistols. Or you can send the frame to the places like CCR Refinishing to have it coated in the color(s) you like.

I have had my heart set on the same gun, only in .40 cal. But, they don't make em anymore. SO I bought a 24/7 pt and bought Duracoat. the Duracoat CADPAT Brown
    $18.95 or the
Duracoat CavArms Coyote Brown $18.95 are the closest I could find but there are a lot of colors close. some too dark and others too light. You just have to compare yourself and decide. I also ordered the softsand additive to give the grip a better nonslip grip.
