I would like to hear about this too. I have the S8s on my PT140, and am thinking about replacing them.......
Opinions on a good set of 3 dot sites to replace the Straight 8 sites.

HE thinks, therefore I am! <><
I fell in love with Williams Firesights for both my pt-111 and 24/7 compact. The originals come off easily if you dig very carefully until the allen wrenchs get a good grip on the screws. The Firesights are made for those guns and fit the dovetails perfectly. I was a little tender with the tiny screws and nearly lost them several times. They are on there tight and well-aligned now.
There are other sights out there. This was just my choice.

PT-111 Mil PRO - Evita,
24/7 PRO DS - Sweetie,
24/7 PRO C DS - Maxine,
S&W 60-4 - The Old Man
PT 1911 - Gilda, the Golden Girl,

Could you just replace the rear sight & have the right set-up?

I was wondering if the gen 2 novaks will fit the gen 1?
Welcome to the forum,Bullman.
well if you want three dots then i would likely go with hienie sights, they will likekly be close to the same fit as what you have on there now.
of course Novak also makes them.
shoot there are dozens of good sights out there!
look at dawson precision!
just mention to either company that its a Taurus and need that dovetail cut.
I would likely think the fiber optic route personally, first better sights for low light situations, secondly likely cheaper!
Willimas, Hi-Viz and Kensight, dawson i beleive all make fiber optics for that psitol!
if its a D/S be aware that there are things under the rear sight that pop out and fly about the room if you are not careful.
