Welcome from New Mexico. I have not heard of any trigger replacement / mods yet however someone more knowledgeable may be along soon and give you some advice. I have around 250 rounds through mine and so far I have not had any FTF or eject issues.
Hey everyone, just shot my new 24/7 G2 40 full size for the first time today! Was wandering if there are any modifications available for the trigger pull lbs, or to replace the dual safety trigger with one trigger and put a shoe on it to widen it? Also, in my second mag I experienced two spent shells being stuck in the slide and not ejecting. I had cleaned all the goop out of the internals from the manufacturer before firing it, just hoping for some suggestions? Also, I really like the rubber grips on the Generation 1's, any way to switch the grips? The polymer just doesnt feel the same as the rubber, I was thinking of cutting a bike tire tube and fitting it over the grip, Im new, so just looking for input and suggestions! Thanks!

Thanks Slakev! It may just be a matter of needing to more thoroughly clean the factory grease out! After shooting on a body target I had to adjust my rear sights upward and to the right, I'll try it out again tomorrow! I also cleaned and lubed the slide rail again, hopefully that will help with ejection
whenever I get a new semi auto handgun, after a good cleaning. I rack the slide a few thousand times.. Oh and try leaving the mags fully loaded for a day or two. stretching out the springs a tad, helps too.. good luck.

Thanks man, I will try that!

Also, I was wandering if it was harmful to the internals of the gun to use a carb cleaner to clean and then follow with compressed air to clean any debrees out and then follow that with the final lubricant? I was just curious if that is a safe way to clean everything out?

from just doing a brief search I read that carb cleaner is pretty aggressive and can eat away some plastic while leaving a residue.. Brake cleaner on the other hand seems to be checking out ok if you lubricate it well afterwards.. and use only non chlorinated type brake cleaner.. Id do a good search before I tried it. I just checked a few sites. Carb cleaner vs. brake cleaner - THR

I use and recommend Gun Scrubber or similar, but make sure it says its safe for polymer. The brake or carb cleaner might work fine on the metal parts, but I wouldn't want to take the chance with the poly parts. Along with what Jc85 said, "rack the slide", get a snap cap and work the trigger. My G2-45 got pretty smooth after about 500 rounds and countless time with the snap cap.
P.S.
Almost forgot, Greetings form Ft Worth, Tx, and Welcome aboard!!

I've been experimenting with modifying (hacking up) a Hogue slip on grip. I haven't tried the bike tube because I like the added palm swell with the Hogue. I haven't quite got it right, but its moving in the right direction. Is yours the full size or compact?? My G2-45 is compact, so I think the full size would not require so much trimming. Not for nothing, but I gotta ask... If you want to change so much about the gun, why did you get it?? I'm just sayin'.![]()
