Taurus's refusal to sell parts makes any internal moss really risky. First, it voids the lifetime warranty, and if you goof it up, you have to send it back and pay them to fix it. The single action pull which is in truth only a shortened double action pull , could be vastly improved if I could buy a new trigger bar. Beretta for example will sell barrels and even a spare parts kit. My Pt740 slim has a far better designed action. It has a real sear for its single action mode. Maybe when there are more of these out there someone will jump in with some upgrades. Powder River Precision has a whole line of upgrades for the Springfield Armory xds and xdms. I have a 24/7 g2 in .45. About 1000 rounds through it. Still finicky about ammo. Doesn't like the nose shapes on some hollow points.

A cleaner I've tried it aerosol electrical contact cleaner.

I use clean bore and rem oil spray.. You really cant go wrong if you just choose a name brand. But In the OP's case he was wondering if he could use what he had sitting around in his garage to remove any remaining packing oil grease.. Probably because he ran out and the stores were closed and really wanted to get it done.

I agree with dfowley42, internal mods are risky with a new gun. Mine is still getting broken in after 500+ rounds. Probably needs another 500 to really make a fair evaluation. I do like the bicycle tube idea, I might try that myself.

Thanks Slakev! It may just be a matter of needing to more thoroughly clean the factory grease out! After shooting on a body target I had to adjust my rear sights upward and to the right, I'll try it out again tomorrow! I also cleaned and lubed the slide rail again, hopefully that will help with ejection

How experienced are you? Most new shooters tend to shoot low and left with semi-auto handguns, due to incorrect grip.
