I have a full size G2 in 45 and love it comes with 3 different back straps to adjust to any size hand, feels good shoots good no feed or extract problems. For me POA=POI, it has been a good gun for me. Hope this helps
Follow up to an earlier thread I posted about what guns to gift to my sons. I never considered the 24/7 G2 series. I was focusing on the MilPros. What's the story on the G2 line? Since it appears they are a newer generation 24/7 series, anyone have opinions (WOW! I can't believe I actually asked that on this forum) on the reliability, problems or anything out of the ordinary. I've perused the 24/7 forum and still can't ge a good feel for the love, or dislike of this series. From the pictures I've seen of the guns, I like them. Went to two LGS yesterday and neither had one of any caliber. Was at a local gun show Saturday and didn't think to look for this model. I haven't had the chance to hold, or shoot one, yet. I'm selfishly thinking of giving myself a 3.5" G2 in .45 for XMAS since I've been such a good boy this year if the feedback is positive. And I might get my sons the 24/7 G2 instead of the MilPros. Prices that I've found show them to be a tad more than the MilPros but still well within reason. What say you?

24/7 G2 40 full size love it want the others. Now I am saving to get the 9 then the 45 and then the compacts of each. The whole family will reside in this house before the end of next year. Would be sooner but I have a couple others on the wish/want list before I get them all. I'm somewhat patient but will get them and on a deal.

I have the g2 compact 9mm and love it to death. It's been my edc gun for the last few months and has sent over a 1000 rounds down range without a hiccup. First range trip I took it straight out of the case(without ever cleaning it) and proceeded to send 200 rounds down range without any problems. I paid $369 otd from my lgs and I am considering buying another in .45
Guess I'll be the first desenter...
The new G2 series field strips easier, but is larger and heavier than the Mil Pro line.
If one is going for a full sized duty gun, it would be a great idea, but when you look at the size and weight difference of the G2c, I'd opt for the Mil Pro.

G2 .40 full size for me. Love the feel and action. Have not heard any significant negatives about it anywhere. Of course, to each his own, as some will just not like it "because" it doesn't fit them or their preferences.

Well I hit the only other LGS that's remotely close to me and they actually had a full array of G2's, all calibers. This combination gun store/range is a pretty nice set-up; kind of classy looking. While they carried your usual line-up of hand guns, I was surprised that the most handguns by count of any make were Tauri. Better yet, the guy behind the counter who appeared to be very a knowledgeable fellow, actually had good things to say about his Tauri line-up. That was refreshing. One of the LGS I went into yesterday treated me like I had Ghona-Sypha-Herpalitis when I asked if they had a Taurus G2 model for my viewing pleasure (they didn't). I did actually like the feel of the G2 in my hand and I will certainly consider the .45 compact for myself (please don't tell my bride). As for my sons, I'll decide on the model after talking to them about their intended use of the firearms I would like to get them (CC, home defense, or both). Many thanks for the input. You guys are great.
