can someone explain, why one would need a decocker on a stiker fired pistol? this seems silly, correct me if im wrong but wouldn't that mean in order to fire a round you would have to cycle out that perfectly good round to reset the striker/?
Decocker allows a round to be safely left in the chamber. Some "hammerless" pistols are not stirker fired, but have an internal hammer that is operated by the trigger (DA ONly). These pistols allow decocking for safety. It can still be fired by turning off the safety and pulling the trigger.
I don't know about this in a true striker fired pistol.
The guns that come with the decocker can be fired in DA without having to jack the slide again.
